The trip descriptions will give you simple informations about how to get there and where to go. Panoramas, Pictures and Slideshows are the main description of the trip.

Trip Lagazuoi

Location:

Lagazuoi is a mountain with a pass connecting the Badia and the Ampezzo valleys.
(Italy, north-east, Alto Adige region, the Badia valley id south of the city of Brunico)

Starting point:

Falzarego pass: by car or public bus from Brunico or Cortina D' Ampezzo.

Trip:

From the Falzarego pass you can either hike or take the cable car up to the Lagazuoi refuge (2756m). Take some time to enjoy the view all around or walk over to the official peak of Lagazuoi (2778m) for the round view. You can see many of the most famous mountains of the area: Marmolada, Civetta, Pelmo, Tofane and others.







From the top you descend to the Forcella Lagazuoi and follow the track number 20 going down the Armentarola valley. Down at 2182 meters above sea level you reach the Lagazuoi lake, small but with a fantastic surroundings. Take a break there, get some sunrays, cool down in the water, eat.



Leaving the lake it goes down steep thtough a narrow passage leading to the Scotoni refuge. and onward down to the Capanna Alpina. From here you could go up to the Fanes pastures or you walk over to the Sare refuge (parking lot, pubblic bus).
